Under Armour Running Shoes Buying Guide: 3 Steps

A quick framework before you commit to a purchase.

Break them in before race day

New running shoes need a few practice runs before an actual event to avoid blisters or discomfort mid-race.

Check sizing reviews if you have wide feet

Several reviewers note the fit runs slightly narrow, so sizing up half a size can help wider feet feel more comfortable.

Match the shoe to your actual training distance

These hold up well for 5Ks and regular training runs, but serious long-distance or trail runners may want a more specialized shoe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these good for race training, not just casual wear?

Yes, based on the 957 verified reviews we analyzed, buyers consistently report solid support and durability through regular training runs and race prep, not just casual walking.

Do these run true to size?

Most buyers find them close to true to size, though a portion with wider feet recommend sizing up half a size for a more comfortable fit.

Are these suitable for trail running?

Not specifically — they're built for road and treadmill running rather than off-road terrain, so trail runners may want a more rugged, trail-specific shoe.

Is this a common recommendation in r/deals running threads?

Yes, it comes up frequently in r/deals as a reliable, budget-friendlier alternative to premium running-store shoe prices.
