Why I actually wrote this
My water bill jumped almost forty dollars one month and I had no idea why until I realized the automatic timer on my garden hose had been stuck running an extra cycle for who knows how long. That was an annoying discovery. I compared a couple of smart timers afterward, most only controlled on/off scheduling with zero visibility into how much water was actually flowing. This Tuya-based one with the built-in water meter stood out because it shows real-time flow and total usage right in the app. Now I actually glance at the numbers occasionally, and I caught a small leak in one of my hose connectors within the first month just from noticing the flow looked off. It's a small feature but it paid for itself pretty quickly.
