Buying Guide: 3 Steps to Choosing the Right Men's Quick Dry Board Shorts

Check the Fabric — Not Just the 'Quick Dry' Label

Many shorts marketed as quick-dry are just thin polyester that dries fast but feels cheap. Read reviews specifically mentioning fabric weight and how the material holds up after repeated pool or ocean use before trusting the label.

Decide If You Need a Liner

This pick has no mesh liner, which some buyers prefer for comfort and others dislike for the lack of built-in support. If you plan to swim without separate underwear, factor that into your decision before ordering.

Confirm Sizing Runs True for Slim Fit

Slim-fit board shorts run tighter through the hip and thigh than standard cuts. Check the size chart against your usual shorts size, and when in doubt, several reviewers here recommend sizing up one size.
