Why I wrote this
My youngest ended up with a mild sunburn on the back of her neck after just forty minutes at the water table because I'd assumed the shade from our patio umbrella reached far enough, which it very much did not. I compared a couple of dedicated water table shade options, mostly checking whether the smaller ones actually blocked overhead sun during the midday hours when it matters most. This umbrella clips right onto the table setup and finally gives real shade exactly where the kids are standing, not just decorative shade a few feet away. It's a simple fix, but it's meant fewer sunscreen reapplication battles and one less thing to worry about during backyard water time.
