Pros & Cons
👍 Pros
- Compact size fits closets and small bathrooms easily
- Quiet enough to run overnight in a bedroom without disturbing sleep
- Tank empties cleanly without spills
- Auto shut-off kicks in once the tank is full
👎 Cons
- The 34oz tank fills up quickly in very humid rooms, needing frequent emptying
- Not powerful enough to handle a full basement on its own
- A faint hum is noticeable on the highest setting
🚫 Who this is NOT for
Skip this if you need whole-home or full-basement humidity control — a larger compressor-based unit is a better fit for bigger spaces.

Buying Guide: How to Choose
-
Measure your room and match it to the unit's rated coverage
Small dehumidifiers like this one are built for closets and single rooms, not open basements.
-
Decide if quiet operation or raw capacity matters more
A quieter unit like this trades off some water-collection capacity for bedroom-friendly noise levels.
-
Plan an emptying schedule based on your humidity level
Very damp spaces will need the tank emptied every day or two at first.

How often do I need to empty the tank?
In a moderately humid closet or bathroom, expect to empty it every 2-4 days; in very damp rooms it may need daily attention at first.
Is it quiet enough for a bedroom?
Yes, it's designed for bedroom and closet use, though the highest setting does produce a faint but noticeable hum.
Will it fix a musty smell in a closet?
It's effective for tackling the excess moisture behind musty closet smells, which is a common complaint people bring up in r/deals threads about small space dehumidifiers.
Can this replace a basement dehumidifier?
No, its coverage area is meant for small spaces; a full basement needs a larger compressor-based unit for meaningful results.
