Why I wrote this
My nephew is obsessed with building sets, and every birthday I panic-buy something that ends up abandoned in a box within a week. Last year I made the mistake of getting a cheap knockoff set where half the pieces didn't even click together properly, which was a whole ordeal to explain to a disappointed seven-year-old. I asked around in a parenting group for actual recommendations instead of guessing, and a couple of parents pointed me toward this racing-truck building set specifically because the pieces are compatible with standard bricks. It's been the one thing that's stayed assembled on his shelf instead of in a junk drawer, which for our household is basically a miracle.
