Why I wrote this
My cat's fountain filter died mid-month and I had zero idea replacements were even a "thing" you needed to restock, like paper towels. I ended up boiling tap water and pouring it in like some kind of medieval cat butler for three days while I figured out what filter size I even needed. I compared a couple of generic filter packs against ordering directly from the fountain's brand, worried about fit. This 8-pack from eBay turned out to be a near-perfect match for my 3.2L unit, arrived faster than I expected, and now I just toss a fresh one in every couple weeks without thinking about it.
